Ships they come from over the water
Ships that carry hopes not slaughter.
Ships of peace not ships of war
Not ships of arms but ships of stores
We all wait hungry on the beach
Watch ships go by beyond our reach
We stand in rags with little hope
Of grasping crumbs from passing boats
So called leaders eyes with greed
Snatch the sacks we badly need
To feed the profits we don’t see
They just don’t want us to be free.
Gripped by hunger , thirst , and death.
Our voices gone with our last breath
Disease and war it seals our fate
And grinds us to a numbing state.
But white or black we all are strong
And mankind will sometime hear the song
And one day ships will proudly bear
The aid we need ,and given fair
